This! It’s down to the coaching, all academy ‘keepers are told to ‘trust’ then when it inevitably fails they get fucking hammered for it, the minute they take things in their own hands and just ping it up the pitch the coach is on them for not following the ‘process’ & they’re dropped, can’t win.

There’s a time and a place deffo, but in short, modern football at the top level is trapped in a philosophical death spiral, it’s dull as fook and hardly ever works, apart from about 3 teams.
