Transit - German language (with lots of French as well) adaptation of a WWII novel set during an ambiguous present day invasion of France. Set mainly in Marseille (with a little bit in Paris), it follows Georg (excellently played by Franz Rogowski) who assumes the identity of a dead writer to gain transit papers to escape the oncoming invasion. He immerses himself in the refugee community whilst he waits on the bureaucratic process. A bit of a marmite film this one I reckon, but I thought it was really ambitious and enjoyable despite a couple of (I suspect deliberate) plot holes. 4/5
Flow - independent animation that follows a cat through a cataclysmic extinction event where waters rise uncontrollably. The cat has to form unlikely alliances with other animals to survive. No script, only (real) animal noises throughout. Sounds weird but this is one of the best things I've seen in ages - it looks beautiful and it gripped me from the first minute. Get it watched if you can. 4.5/5.
Welcome to Wrexham - flew through the latest series. Tried and tested format but still works very well and they do an excellent job with it. Improved by focusing a bit less on player personal lives and for being fewer episodes than the earlier series.
Quarterback - Netflix documentary following Joe Burrow, Jared Goff and Kirk Cousins through the 2024 season. Very formulaic and not helped by three relatively vanilla (but very nice and professional) lads, with only Cousins being interesting in a wild-eyed god-bothering serial killer sort of way.
The golf - Fleetwood being a blue just sums the lad up. His putt on 17 has to be one of the worst I've ever seen, proper headloss again. Rose being an iron willed maniac on the other hand - fantastic.
