Spent a month in India 20 years ago. Stayed with my ex’s friends and their mum did all the cooking. She’d start early on the morning and we’d eat tea at 7 at night. The food, mainly vegetarian, was sensational. I haven’t managed to find any Indian food that tastes as good since.
