1989. I was 14 and the news crews were at an illegal rave in Blackburn somewhere at about 6am as the Police were raiding it. Loads of people running everywhere and then the camera pans to me stood there watching it all wide eyed as fuck with a massive grin on my face, still dancing. It was on the national news that night and everyone I had ever met in my life managed to see it somehow. I was called into the headmasters office the next day where i gave a teenage heartfelt speech about Ecstasy and how we were going to change the world. The start of a rocky road with social services and raving that continued until I left school.
