This is more because there's a deal to buy CBS on the table that would need federal approval. It's the same reason CBS settled out of court over the ridiculous claims of advertising an interview with Kamala Harris last year that was misleading & gave her an advantage (something Fox News has done for Trump for years).

CBS has shit itself, basically. I doubt Kimmel and co will be in the same boat unless their parent broadcasters need anything from the Trump administration...
