I used to think that about "us 70s kids", but when you look at what current 30 year old evertonians have gone through i don't anymore!

Everton's league positions in the 70s....1st, 14th, 15th, 17th, 7th, 4th, 11th, 9th, 3rd, 4th.....they were hardly disastrous (in hindsight!), but as always we judged ourselves by what they were doing over the park, which magnified it 1,000,000-fold. But in retrospect, watching Dobson, Thomas, King, Latchford etc was a breeze to what the poor kids of today have had to endure.
