Re: The Mack motor brought back to life today!
I saw those pipes also..but thought maybe it was shadow from how the picture was taken. Because your right, Evel never had black tips on the pipes. He had the whole pipes black at one time but never the tips. If the guy says it real but will not look up the info you say will prove its real. Then the guys lying or does not want to know the truth..There are a lot of Evel replicas around. Including at the Harley Museum.
: The thing that bothers me a bit about that
: bike are the exhaust tips. I dont remember
: seeing black tips on EK's pipes. I have all
: the original shipping manifests from Harley
: that give the frame serial numbers and the
: engin case numbers. If I could get into the
: case it would only take a few seconds to
: The owner sticks to his guns that its the
: real deal. And I heard that Krystal and
: Kelly made some noise about it a few years

: Awesome news about the Mack..as for the bike
: in that display it looks alittle funny for
: some reason. Maybe its just the angle of the
: picture. The handle bars look wrong. Most
: replicas i've seen including mine have one
: cross bar. Where as Evel's bikes had
: two..But then again the bike Evel's with in
: the famous Harley ad from 74-75 shows no
: cross bars so who knows. Real or not having
: displays like that in museums is a good
: thing i think.

On Oct 17th 1938 a baby was born.
That baby would become a man, that man became a LEGEND.
On Nov 30th 2007 the man passed away.
But his Legend lives on in the hearts the minds and the memories of
the millions of people whose lives he touched in the 69 years he graced the earth.
Thanks Evel we will NEVER FORGET YOU.
