Earlier this week a course cart attendent at San Juan Hills Golf Club found a live leopard shark wriggling on the tee box. This wasn't an oceanside hole, either, but more than three miles from water. "It was just wriggling around," director of club operations Melissa McCormack told the Capistrano Dispatch. "Honestly, this is the weirdest thing that's happened here."
The attendent who found it put the shark in a bucket of salt water and on his next break drove it back to the beach. Speculation on how the shark got to the course includes hungry falcons and mischievious humans.
