If one outfit deserves the label copyright troll, it's them. Their practices have been scolded in courts and in the press. Not really a company one wants to be associated with.
But apparently the RIAA and the publisher's group AAP don't care about this PR nightmare, as they are planning to file an amicus brief to support part of Righthaven's case. They want to add their opinion in Righthaven's lawsuit against Kentucky message board poster Wayne Hoehn, where it was ruled that reposting an entire article is fair use.
