According to the Alaska Dispatch, that's what the state's former half-term governor told the audience of the non-9/11 event she and Glenn Beck held in Anchorage last night.

Reading from a polished script, Palin...referenced meeting Beck in New York in the shadow of Lady Liberty -- a monument given to the United State by France, she said, as "a gift to warn us against socialism.''

Attendees paid between $74 and $225 for the privilege of hearing Palin and Beck share their profound insights into history, politics, God and each other.
