Last night on one of the best prepared pulling tracks "ever" them Yankee Boy's went home with another pile of Rebel cash. After a few sled resets 3 trucks put the Hammer Sled in Real Estate beyond the 300' mark. Team Suess powered out to a 308' winning spot as their legendary "Southern" Engine Builder Lee Edwards looked on with a big grin. Team Suess driver Leroy Booth went from "Zero to Hero" after a embarrassing incident a few weeks ago at the Buck. Mr Chevy himself Danny Savage Bulldozered his way to a 306' through a massive cloud of clutch dust after he had managed a 301' as test puller but turned it down. The hope of the rebels, the formidable "Footloose", stumbled just a bit on his launch but recovered perfectly to torque it out to a 303' spot and save the pride of the South. Note worthy rebel "rocket", the Family Tradition team, torqued off a rear drive shaft on the killer Winchester clay "launch pad". Many other Teams had great runs too but got "nailed" by the "Hammer" just shy of the 300 mark. It was a great class to watch!
