All Computers Are Hard.. When you sit down at a computer you have never seen before and try to make sense out of the set up settings.

I may have suggested sending you to a Linux computer instead of a Chromebook.
Because it looks more like using a Windows computer in its settings.
But it isn't going to hurt you to learn how to use a Chrombook.
You are never too old to learn, I am 85.

So let's go..
First click your clock on the bottom right, and then click that little settings gear.\

Hopefully you will see this page.
You may have to scroll down to see the AboutChromOS over on the bottom left.

When you click onto the About ChromeOS it will highlight and on the top right you will see Check For Updates.
When you click that it will either say Your Chromebook Is Up To Date. Or it will start updating.
After it finishes like all other computers it will tell you to Restart Your Computer.
