According to the newspaper entry, the marriage took place at Callao on 29 Aug 1867. George was described as the second son of Charles BAKER of Exmouth. The 1851 census shows a 10 year old George BAKER living with his father Charles, mother Martha, older brother Henry, younger sister Martha and brother Charles. His mother's 2 sisters Jane & Mary GALE are also in the household.
