Robert Reginald and Nora Florence (Peckham) Plant

I am looking for any living family of Robert Reginald and Nora Florence (Peckham) Plant (both deceased in 1976 and 1983 respectively). I live in the US and am a distant relative looking for any surviving family history (specifically a Bible) for the Webb/Bath family. Nora's grandmother was a Webb. There are not many of us descendants of this family left!

You might find Robert and Nora on the 1939 register as people who are deceased now are shown there. Or on freebmd site for their births and marriage.Do you know whereabouts in Devon they may have come from.

Hi Judith, thank you for your reply!

Nora's death record in 1983 states "Mid Devon"...Robert died in 1977 in West Sussex.

In the 1939 register, they were living in Epsom, Surrey, England and Robert was an insurance agent. Their two names appear, but what I assume is their child's name is redacted. I am hoping he/she is still alive and may see this message thread! I know it's a long shot. I have so much information I want to share about our family, and I am also trying to track down the family Bible which may be long gone by now, but you never know! There are very few descendants left!

If you look on freebmd.org.uk you will find they had one child born 1935 Lewisham regn area, she married in Paddington regn area in 1964
This couple had a daughter born Paddington regn area 1965, and a daughter born in West Bromwich regn area . I would suggest you follow the link I have given you and get the names, and then perhaps contact a newspaper in the Birmingham area re further enquiries, as the family do not seem to be living in Devon. Hope this helps

I consider myself a pretty seasoned genealogist and didn't even know about this site!
This is my only line from the UK so it's difficult for me! Appreciate you!

If you search for Nora's death on freebmd site, it comes up with MidDevon, if you click on that it will give a long list of the parishes in that registration district. You can always send for the death cert, which will tell you where she died.

You will see that above the messages it says:

Remember the General Data Protection Regulations - you must not post details of living persons other than yourself

so volunteers will be unable to help you to find living relatives.

The same rule applies on our Facebook page, but I am sure there are other sites you can find online to assist you.

If you know where your family lived, a letter/email to a local newspaper may be successful.

I'm sorry, I was hoping if someone was a living descendant of the individuals, they could reach out to me - I guess I wasn't asking for help finding them, was just posting for someone who IS a living descendant - so they could post info about themselves
