There are a couple of possibilities for Elizabeth Blackman, father George. Both born c 1842. |
One born in Southwick, according to the 1851 census, and living in Portsea. Southwick is very close to Portsea (now Portsmouth).
The other born in Widley, according to the 1851, and living there in 1851. Widley is closer to Portsmouth, being just over Portsdown hill.
On the entry for her marriage to Thomas Lewis, she gives her address as Half Moon Street, which is/was right by the Naval Dockyard, which makes sense as All Saints Church is just up the road.
But I can't place her there in 1861.
