Strange as it may seem, Llanfairaryrbryn, Carmarthenshire is the lynchpin in a very fragile conjecture. |
In 1851 Elizabeth Cowling b c 1834, Llandovery, was living in Brook St, Tavistock.
Baptism. Elizabeth Anne Nicholas Cowling. Cilycwm, Llandovery. 4 Oct 1833. Parents Phillip and Christian.
Thomas and Joanna Cowling migrated from St Agnes to Mary Tavy before 1800 and to Llanfairybryn before 1807. He is thought to have worked in the lead mines. His daughter Elizabeth was married in Cilycwm. Philip in 1851 was a lead miner.
Thomas and Joanna had son, Philip, born 1792.(named after maternal grandfather).Did he die and later replacement born circa 1800/4?
Three children at Bedwellty. Joanna (paternal grandmother?), Richard and Elizabeth( maternal grandparents?) Christiana Nichols, bp Feock 9 Oct 1808. Parents Richard and Elizabeth.
Do you get my drift?
