there is a record office at Bristol. Given age at death his birth is between 1802 and 1803, he would have been in his 64th year, or just had a birthday. |
Went to the record office today, and looked up the Banns entry, there was no other information, no note of cancellation, crossings out. So they could have married anywhere as they would have had a banns certificate/note to produce.
No marriage in the parish of the banns. Our best guess, (my husband was roped in too!), was that they married at a parish which is not on the I.G.I. perhaps Plymouth area, if they were going on a ship somewhere. Perhaps he was being posted abroad, Ireland?, if he had military father, the one from India,( I like that couple, came home to have the baby.), perhaps he was in the military too.
Free BMD site is not complete, so the marriage may turn up on there one day.
