I am trying to find a copy online of an article about the Elford family: "An Old Moorland Family" that appeared in the Western Morning News in 1965. I've searched the British Newspaper Archive, but it's not there. Does anyone know of an archive in the southwest where this might be housed?

I'm fairly sure that Plymouth Main Library has copies of Western Morning News and maybe Devon Heritage Centre as well. I would check with both of them.

Copies of Western Morning News are still available on Film in Plymouth Central Library.

In the past I have obtained copies of newspaper articles from the British Library. They offered a free 30 minute search and, for a modest fee, would provide a copy. The more details you are able to provide, the greater the chance of them finding the article within the time limit. This was some time ago. Perhaps things have changed during this period of austerity.
