Records indicate that John Woodman and Sarah Bowden (18th September 1831 Banns) were married on 4th October 1831 in London.
The 1841 census indicates that John Woodman, then 41, was a Porter living with his wife, Sarah, then 36 (possible input error, perhaps 29). They had four children: Henry, then 8; James, then 4; Ann, then also 4 (twins?); and Sarah then aged 2.
The 1851 census refer to her being born in Brockless, Devon.
