27 March 1782, John PINE was baptised at Sidmouth illegitimate s/o Mary Pine.
1789, aged 7yrs he started an apprenticeship on Austin's estate, Sidmouth (Overseer of Poor Accounts.)
1804 aged 21yrs (ag lab) apprenticeship finished and John Pine joined the Royal Navy.
His R.N.records say he was not pressed.
During Napoleonic War John served off the coast of America.
10 years later John Pine retired from the R.N. Shortly after this, he married in Exeter.
