Thank you, Judith. I have checked the National Archives and the Devon Heritage Centre's online search but have not come up with anything relevant.

When I was conducting a similar search for an ancestor's inquest in Cornwall I was told by the heritage centre there that there weren't any coroner's reports extant before mid 20th century so perhaps it's the same with Devon.
