I am seeking 3rdgeneration Plymothians. Plymothians whose grandparents settled here from overseas. UK doesn’t count.
It is for a display in Dingles/House of Fraser in Plymouth and will entail a quick interview and photo.
The inspiration for the whole display is from a third generation Jew born in Plymouth in 1806, who went on to become the first Jewish member of the Royal Academy of Arts and a huge painting of his that hung in the Plymouth Municipal Building. This edifice was a sister building to the Plymouth Guildhall and sat opposite it on what is now Royal Parade and was sadly destroyed in the Second World War. The painting survived and is currently in the basement archives of The Box.
