Thanks Judith, being relatively (sic) new to this hobby, I need to research burials/grave stones etc. So far I have managed to stick to the mainstream of BMD and Ancestry. But thanks for the tips above. I had also found another William died Honiton 1838. What I have found more promising is a William b. 1797 in Ottery St Mary (he could be the son of William b. 1772 in Dunkeswell). He possibly married a Mary in 1812 - which makes him a bit young but may be the one. The search continues. Thanks again to all the helpers, this is a very considerate community. Dave
