Try finding Mary Bruce in Devon on the 1851 census this should tell you where she was born then start looking for baptisms around that date of [Periam] in the appropriate parish. Remember some baptisms are some time after the actual birth. There is a possibility that you discover another baptism of a Mary Periam such as a cousin but a reasonable chance it is your person.
