Re: Thomas Harris 1863 of Honiton
Yes realised that, have you found the family on 1911 census? Thomas is a widower aged 43, labourer, living Ringley, with 7 children including Frederick, if he was 13 then. The census gives birthplaces as Hanston, but playing around with the name and eliminiating Honiton, could it be Hareston, which is a hamlet of Brixton, in Devon, which is not on the I>G>I and is near Plympton I think. If you go on the genuki page and put in Brixton devon, and have a close look at the map, it is there with a red line running through it.
The children in 1911 all age from 22 (matthew down to Ellis 8 all born Lancashire, including Fred born 16.2.1898 living Prestolee when baptised, and father labourer. which ties up with what you know. If you find the family on the 1901 census, Emily should still be alive, and would give her birthplace, and age.she could have died when giving birth to Ellis, or after that and before 1911census. Hope this helps.
