The above named lady was well known by the magistrates in Brixham. Baptised 5 June 1831 and died 22 January 1922 at Pump Street. In that time she managed to appear in front of the "beak" numerous times, fighting, swearing, drunk etc etc... I have found many newspaper reports on her exploits, her fines and sentences to imprisonment. Do the court records for this time survive? It would be good to see the other side. She must have been a tough old bird, but her granddaughter, my grandmother never drank. I wonder why?
