Watched a nice 7s tournament yesterday @ Parklane. BGS was the big surprise yesterday going 6-0 and beating ACCS in OT in the championship game 14-7. ACCs had two players come over from trinity and they seemed to be the fellas who mad AC tick on offence. Qb Yarborough for the Rebs impressed. The Bucs had an outstanding Qb as well; St Pauls transfer I believe. Parklane looked big, but seemed a step behind AC and BGS all day (they seemed frustrated by losing to their AAA opponennts). Other teams attending: ASC, Centreville. Brookhaven was supposed to compete but wasn't there.

David King has built a solid program at ACCS. They don’t seem to lose a beat no matter how many players they lose to graduation each year. Talented team as usual. Will be a top 5 team in AAA again and compete for state championship. Parklane lost a lot of production from their skill players from a year ago. Be interesting to see who fills those roles this year, but you can expect them to run behind that offensive line, but I don’t see them repeating the success they had last year. Bowling Green, I’ve heard nothing but high praise about them thus far this summer. I haven’t seen them play. But they seem to be much improved after a couple of down years. Centreville and Brookhaven will be fine in AA again. Both playoff teams in that class.
