Dropping off bags at Toronto Pearson Airport before exploring the city

So, my girlfriend and I are thinking about a holiday in Canada. We've bought the tickets, and I'm now working on the details just to make sure everything goes perfectly. Since we don't get a chance to check into the hotel until later in the evening, we've decided to fly to Toronto, collect our bags, and go sightseeing right away. At first, we were looking forward to visiting the CN Tower or the ROM right away, but dragging huge backpacks with you is not a good idea. So, I went online to look for luggage storage options and found a helpful guide with all the necessary information at https://toronto-yyz-international-airport.com/en about Toronto Airport. As the description was very detailed, I realized that it's even possible to find a luggage storage space within the terminals themselves. If you have stayed there before, can you say how safe the lockers are? Is paying with standard international credit cards possible, or is it obligatory to hand over cash dollars only? By the way (almost forgotten), do they allow standard international credit cards, or is it a requirement that you carry Canadian cash?
