Do you have any experience renting a sports car?

I'm interested in renting a regular sports car (Toyota 86, Nissan Fairlady, or Miata) for just a day or two on the weekend. Perhaps once or twice a month.
Buying a sports car is a foolhardy financial decision anyway, so why not lease one?
I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences about any rental restrictions, mileage charges, or hidden fees.
