About time this stuff starts getting policed. I’ve not seen the animal so I can’t, and won’t, make a comment but I assume the board had their reason. There are berks with more white that some spots these days... spots with stiff ears and not much white that could pass as a berk...landrace that look more Chester by the day...Herefords that walk a fine line between looking to much like a Duroc by the day, etc. Sadly there are fewer people each and every year that care about the holding up their end of the deal when it comes to protecting the integrity of the breeds over a slight difference in their pocketbook. Heaven forbid you have to mark one unsellable as a registered show pig and just have to send it to town or show it as a cross. I don’t know the people involved here but this has been building for years now and it’s time somebody tries to get it all somewhat back on track. My hunch is that paperless ‘showing it like it looks’ is probably a catalyst buried here somewhere though perhaps not apparent to the breeder of this particular animal.
