With a unanimous vote of the CPS Executive Committee and dialogue with the individual breeds’ board of directors, it has been decided that the 2020 CPS, Chester White, Poland China, and Spotted Annual Meetings will be postponed until a later date. Reasons for these postponements include the uncertain health status around the country, a busy 2020 Summer Type Conference schedule, and staff obligations that the 2020 events necessitate.
The meetings were originally scheduled for Thursday, July 9, 2020, in Des Moines, Iowa, as part of the Summer Type Conference.
The current breeds’ board of directors will continue to manage the affairs of their respective breed associations, as well as the Certified Pedigreed Swine Executive Committee will continue to manage its business. This decision is in accord with the individual breed bylaws. Additionally, the listed slate of board candidates will remain on the ballot until the meetings are conducted.
The breed membership will receive ample, advanced notice of the date, time, and location of the respective annual membership meeting details.
Thank you in advance for your understanding and support of this decision. Contact the CPS office or individual board members if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Jack Wall – CPS CEO
Greg Norman - CPS and Spotted President
Thomas Titus - Chester White President
Jerry Masters - Poland China President
Brian Behrends - Hereford President
