On behalf of the Team Purebred Adult Board, I wish to advise everyone that we have accepted the resignation of Hope Coffey, effective immediately. We would like to thank her for 3 years of service as Team Purebred experienced unprecedented growth during that period of time and is now nearly 4000 members strong.
The board is currently seeking applications for a replacement but in no way will the activities be negatively impacted during this time of transition. Individuals within both parent organizations (CPS and ABA) will be stepping up to the plate to assist members with growth and development.
With that in mind, we would like to invite breeders to participate in our “This One’s for the Girls” bred gilt sale in Lebanon, IN on December 9. Entry deadline is November 20 and more information is available on the website.
The board sees this as a great opportunity to remind current members as well as those who are not yet members about the overall mission of the Team Purebred Junior Purebred Swine Association:
To provide educational and career opportunities through competition and fellowship in order to develop leadership skills and integrity in young people interested in Berkshire, Chester White, Hereford, Poland China and Spotted swine.
Rest assured that we will continue to expand the leadership opportunities for the greatest resource our country has to offer- the young people in animal agriculture.
We are tremendously excited about the great mix of returning and new Junior board members and would encourage anyone interested in the leadership opportunities that exist to get involved. If you are interested in being a part of the most exciting, fastest-growing junior livestock "Team," please check out our website at www.TeamPurebred.com.
Sincerely,
Shane Butcher
Adult Board President
