My grandfather made the second land run of Indian Territory in 1892 and shortly there after started raising polands. I do not know if he kept up with the registration papers but he always bought registered boars. My uncle and my dad raised polands through my teenage years when I started. I know registration papers weren't kept up on all of them but there was a picture that hung in my grandparents old house that I was told was of a champion boxcar load from a competition in Illinois of poland market hogs that my grandfather raised. My grandfather passed away before I was born so this information was passed on to me by my dad and aunts and uncles.
