At the 2015 National Barrow Show, market gilts will also be allowed to be show with the market barrows that we currently have(all terminal)in the Jr. Classic Market Hog show.
3) At the 2015 National Barrow Show, a Jr. breeding gilt show will also be conducted with these gilts eligible for double entry in the open show. This is not a terminal show and rules for entry in this show will be exactly the same for health regulations but may vary for exhibition requirements for the Poland and Spotted breed regarding stress .
4) NBS JR. CLASSIC EXHIBITORS. If you live in the state of Minnesota or a state that borders Minnesota, we have INITATED a class that the top purebred Market Hog of each of the purebreds will vie for $500.00 for Champion and $250.00 for Reserve. You must be a resident of those states to vie for this additional honor. In an effort to encourage greater and increased participation from the upper Midwestern states we thought this is an opportunity to generate interest and participation. Please call or contact me if you have any questions or need further explanation of these new ideas and concepts. jlw
