I visited Clauson Point with my son yesterday. First went to 346 thierot ave where my cousins the Olivier's lived. Thenwe went to see monument where my cousin Albert hung out. Next we went to Holy Cross School and I showed him the exit I used to come out where heard news about Buddy Holly....the day the music died. Finally went to my beloved home, 720 Beach Ave which was totally abandoned. It was like previous owners did nothing to upgrade house since we left in 1960. The place went totally to seed, and house next door was torn down. My son and I were able to go into back yard where I hadn' been since 1960. It was like stepping into a time capsule. Was as if the house died from lack of care and love when we left...it mirrored my mom's broken heart. Although we took 14 pics of outside, I would love to see inside of house before it's destroyed.
