They haven't been really turning them off. They've been selling them to smaller broadcasters. In some markets, they sold them to the local management.

The ones that did get turned off were just bought recently.

To me, it looks like they are getting rid of the smaller markets to get rid of bloat. Alpha Media, Digity and NextMedia before them had way too many stations and they all ended up folding.

I'm not saying they're a great broadcaster, but what they are doing offloading some of the smaller markets to local broadcasters when possible makes sense when you look at the companies that owned these stations before them. A lot of the smaller owners out west run decent operations and know their markets better.

I wasn't saying Eddie was in their way because of how much money he was making (Which was a joke) but he was hosting mornings and they probably wanted to clear their syndicated show and having a local host is a problem. In other words, he was on the shift they wanted to replace. And yes, they are trying cut costs too.

I can receive WEFM, on certain days, after I close my garage door. Open it back up, gone. Drive away, gone. It is the most darned thing. LOL. Great flashback to hear the old call signs from 99.5, back in the day.

Won't happen but I think 100.3 would be a good spot for him if they're willing to have him. I think the only local shifts on there are Afternoons and Nights. Middays are tracked, but at the very least some weekend stuff. Hubbard is probably among the most friendly with having local talent. Couldn't harm their ratings either.

To WGTO LARRY,
Refreshing when a radio station is owned by a radio person and not a bank, etc.
I'm in Michigan's U.P, and easily, the 910 signal is up here often. On occasion WFDF Farmington Hills-Flint is in also.
You sir, are living the dream!
