Prologis has purchased the 26 acre site housing the WSCR, WBBM and WLEY transmitters on Army Trail Road in Glendale Heights from Audacy and plans on building $ 100,000,000 industrial complex at that location.

I took a drive this afternoon to the site and noticed that there were already Prologis workers on the site surveying the land. There were also utility markers on the perimeter of the site. This means that the tower demolition will be happening very soon. Tuning on the car radio I can confirm that WSCR and WBBM no longer broadcast from the site. They moved to the WYLL site in Des Plaines. Last time I checked was about 1 month ago and they were still using the Glendale Heights site. I did not check WLEY, but what is interesting is that WLEY has yet to apply with FCC to move from the site.
