Carlson becomes the second woman to hold that title in Chicago TV history. She’ll oversee the sports department and continue leading its Bears coverage and hosting “Chicago Sports Tonight.”

Very happy for Cassie Carlson getting promoted to lead sports anchor at FOX 32. She has worked extremely hard in her time and deserves the promotion to this coveted position at a place that bills itself as “The Home of the Bears”.

I have to think that Carlson’s promotion might also mean additional work for Tina Nguyen and I also wonder if FOX might also bring someone else in as an occasional fill in when Carlson and/or Nguyen need a breather.
