Driving on the far Southwest Side I tuned the radio and thought wow, 1280 AM is coming in fairly well. Turns out it was 1180 from Sycamore WSQR. WWCA 1270 from Gary was pretty strong.

There have been comments posted recently about the power of 1280 and 1530. Just throwing my two cents in.

John, I also pointed out to detectivetom in this other thread the same thread you linked. Either they cant see my posts or ignore them as they never reply to me. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Dunno.

TheGhostOfWCBR it is radio geekiness at the max. It is not a bad thing, 90% of the posters here are in that category. Only Radio Geeks will understand the post.

Using Radio Geek translator, post should read "I was in the car. Tuning down the dial, I ended up on AM 1180 and thought it was AM 1280 even if they are off the air so much and don't sound that good. I tuned over to 1270 and WWCA from Gary was pretty strong too".
