7th 9PM hour: "Overnight traffic closures" --no LIVE traffic at 9pm on a Friday night? (MIGHT have started earlier, but checked at 9PM hour.)
8th 4AM hour: 2-3-4 audio sources at once! Painful to listen to. DEAD AIR, then "CBS NEWS 24/7" (TV feed?)_ "As you can see here..." and promos over & over for CBS Mornings, 60 Minutes. (This began before 4am CST.) Feed: https://www.cbsnews.com/live/
Turned it OFF! WBBM is being pulled off my pre-sets, etc. When they say "XXX after the hour" more than the call letters, something is wrong.
Maybe just sign off at 7 o'clock. You get what you give. You lead by example. Thiis is beyond horrible.
I didn't leave WBBM. They left me!

I too tune off when they say XXX after the hour. Sad, sad, sad state of affairs. John Madigan must be rolling in his grave.

I never listen to them anymore, ever. Listen to WBEZ for local news and NPR for national. WBEZ and public radio features outside of the news or interviews are either spot on or really "out there" (they had Al Jardeine from the Beach Boys on there as of recent, awesome interview).
Otherwise, terrestrial radio has given me reason and opened the door (exactly what John described) to move on to IP based entertainment and occupies most of my consumption. When I do tune in, it is to see how bad it has locally evolved or to try and do some DX.
