1280 WBIG back on the air

Looks like the 1280 WBIG is back on the air with their STA setup (250 Watts daytime/125 Watts Nighttime). Noticed this morning with weak signal in Wood Dale, IL.

I remember seeing the setup and yeah..... wonder how much heat that thing is creating and reflecting as opposed to actual signal being radiated. I am certain the engineers have made sure that it is running clean. But still, it is around denizens and not a standard design.

I am going to try and pick it up tomorrow see if it is directional and how far it is carrying out.

A silly move just to preserve the translator. It's kind of unfortunate what the commission allows operators to get away with now.

On far Southwest Side 1280 aint nothing but static.
