FS1's "Ball" Game Is Over for Danny Parkins...Sort Of

It was nearly a calendar year ago when Danny Parkins signed off at 670 AM The SCORE to take a TV job on FS1 to host a morning sports talk/debate show which would also include "NFL on FOX" analyst Mark Schlereth & longtime New York sports talk radio host Craig Carton.
That show was called "Breakfast Ball", which originated in New York and had aired weekday mornings 7-9A (CT) since last fall. Unfortunately for Parkins, Carton & Schlereth, the "Ball" game is over.
The morning show was among 3 FS1 shows that were cancelled today by the network, unable to find much footing. A FOX Sports' spokesperson declined comment, but a source said that Parkins is expected to continue at the network in a different capacity.
Parkins is actually coming back to The SCORE, albeit for 24 hours, July 31 & August 1 to host the Audacy-owned sports talk station's "Cubs For A Cure" radiothon. Parkins initially signed off WSCR August 16 last year, coinciding with the conclusion of last year's broadcast event.
As I mentioned above, "Breakfast Ball" was among 3 FS1 shows that were cancelled today. To learn more about the other shows, hopefully without the dreaded paywall, here are the links:
That didn't take long. Just days after FS1 cancelled his morning show "Breakfast Ball", Danny Parkins was right back on FS1 co-hosting another New York-based show, "First Things First" with Chris Broussard & Kevin Wildes for a couple days last week while Nick Wright was off. Apparently that wasn't just a fill in for Parkins.
FOX Sports announced today that Parkins has been added as a new co-host of an expanded "FTF" from 2-5P (CT) Monday-Friday. Per Front Office Sports' Ryan Glasspiegel, Parkins will be part of a third hour of the daily sports talk/debate show. Former NFL Head Coach Eric Mangini & former NFL wide receiver Greg Jennings will also be contributors on the show.
For FS1, the expanded "First" caps off a new look lineup that will start with an unnamed morning show hosted by Barstool Sports' founder Dave Portnoy that'll air from 7-9A (CT) live from Chicago with an immediate replay from 9-11A (CT). Portnoy's new show will lead into "The Herd with Colin Cowherd" from 11A-2P (CT) weekdays.
Portnoy's new deal with FOX Sports also includes appearances on its "BIG Noon Saturday" pregame show leading directly into FOX's broadcast of their marquee College Football game at 11A that morning (CT)...Even though it's called "BIG Noon Saturday" in reference to the game starting at Noon (ET).
