Adam Amin is more than just the TV voice of the Chicago Bulls, the preseason TV voice of the Chicago Bears & multi-talented PBP voice on FOX Sports' national coverage of MLB and the NFL. This past Saturday, it was a long day's journey into night for Amin.
First, Amin was on the call of the Philadelphia Phillies/Chicago Cubs' game at Wrigley Field on "MLB on FOX", working the broadcast with former MLB pitcher Adam Wainwright & insider Ken Rosenthal. Some 8 hours after Amin called the ballgame on FOX, the broadcaster traded in a button down shirt, suit & tie for a Red & Black Flannel shirt with folded sleeves spinning tunes at 115 Bourbon Street in Merrionette Park later that night. What can't Amin do?
As it turns out, Amin has been spinning tunes at Chicago area clubs dating back to age 13. That's when his brother bought him turntables, a mixer & "mixmaster throwdown" CD from B96 for his birthday. So how does he figure out what to play at a given venue?
Amin discussed that and more with Front Office Sports' Ryan Glasspiegel. You can check out more of Amin's conversation how he finds the time to mix sportscasting with DJ-ing here:
