Few weeks back I posted about finding WGTO (910AM) near Dowaig,Michigan and discovered it was owned by Larry Langford and played a METV format.

Turned it on other day and had a differentformst.Did a search and found out METV did not renew contract.

Not sure if they do shared revenue approach or a straight up fee to air it on affiliates. Bottom line, it was a 💲💲💲 issue.

I'm not bashing WGTO-AM 910 specifically. The issue is playing music on an AM station.

This audience is likely over 65 and we know advertisers shun that demographic.

Hi Hunter,

No sure if you know, but WGTO is linked to 2 FM translators in overall non overlapping areas. They use the AM to drive the translators in Dowagiac, MI and in South Bend, IN.

Too, would it make sense to drop the AM power to let's say 500 watts from 1000, as the "energy" of the station is FM, and not AM.

Off topic, but from thread above. I have had Fords for decades. NO AM problems, etc. Nice for good, far away signals, etc. My 13 cents.
