While driving recently in Michigan City/New Buffalo area accidentally came across METV oldies radio on 910 AM. Quickly switched over to the Chicago FM station and found they were playing different songs. The GTO signal is none too strong.
Did some checking and found out GTO is owned by Larry Langford, former WIND guy and Chicago Fire Department spokesman!

WGTO drives 2 FM translators. (Only way to survive w/ an AM Class D)
W244EO 96.7 FM Dowagiac, MI (250 watts) W246DV 97.1 FM South Bend, IN (250 watts)
There is a national feed of METV that is not Chicago specific. WGTO started airing it about a year ago? Lost track of time.
He was also on WMAQ-AM. I believe he was the last voice on there, before it flipped to the Score. He also is an Engineer, no surprise he owns stations of his own!

He was the last on 670. If memory serves me correctly also the last voice heard at WIND way back in the day. I seem to recall many former hosts showed up that day including Steve King and Johnny Putnam who were then at WGN.
