When the new Chicago Sports Network debuts tomorrow at 5P (CT), the first face fans will see will be Bulls' TV voice Adam Amin. He'll serve as host of CHSN's first show that'll air on Opening Day of the new regional sports network that'll replace NBC Sports Chicago as the TV home of the Bulls, Blackhawks & White Sox.
It's called "Game On, Chicago" and will serve as a glimpse of what fans can expect to see on the new CHSN, along with 3 other shows that were also announced today.
First, "The Big College Football Show" will air at 5P (CT) with Big Ten Network analyst & former Michigan football star Jake Butt (That's his name, folks) & former Ohio State star Joshua Perry, currently with NBC Sports and BTN. They'll be joined by Annie Agar, who provides unique online content for Stadium Network.
Second, "The Big Pro Football Show Presented by the Chicagoland & Northwest Indiana Chevy Dealers" will provide the latest news, notes & stories regarding the Bears, NFC North as well as around the NFL at 5:30P weekdays on CHSN. Ruthie Polinsky, who just signed off today at NBC 5, will serve as host of the new show with 670 AM The SCORE's David Haugh & former NFL tight end Clay Harbor. Former Bears' QB Erik Kramer, former NFL WR Tim Brown & "NFL on FOX" rules analyst Mike Pereira will also take part.
Finally, "The Chicago Lead" provides Chicago sports fans with the news of the day involving the city's teams as well as breaking news, analysis & commentary. It'll serve as CHSN's flagship show usually airing at 6P (CT) with Haugh, along with Stadium Network's Brooke Fletcher & Camron Smith Monday-Friday.
All 3 studio shows mentioned above will originate from CHSN's new studios located at United Center in the atrium just steps from the Michael Jordan statue.
Haugh will also continue to co-host "Mully & Haugh" with Mike Mulligan weekday mornings on 670 AM The SCORE in addition to his new work with CHSN.
No sooner does he sign off as pre & postgame host at the now defunct NBC Sports Chicago, Chuck Garfien revealed on Twitter/X today that he'll follow the White Sox to their new TV home at CHSN in the same role he's held for many years.
Makes me think that Ozzie Guillen, who was in the CHSN commercial, along with Scott Podsednik & Gordon Beckham will also follow Garfien to the team's new TV home next year.
