It's about time Bob Stroud got inducted into the RHOF! Very happy for him, IMO a living legend. I'm curious to see how much more the Drive will devolve when/if he decides he's done for good at WDRV.
It would be long overdue if Bob Stroud got into the Radio Hall of Fame.
He technically signed off in 2022 from 97.1 FM The Drive after 21 years hosting middays at the Hubbard-owned classic rock station. He stopped doing his daily "145 at 1:45" feature a few months ago.
He's still hosting "10 at 10" weekday mornings to this day. His midday show now sounds voice tracked during the week since he returned when The Drive did some scheduling tweaks in February. I think Stroud now tapes little segments going to & coming back from break from 10A-1P Monday-Friday from a studio, I'd like to say Stroud has set up in a studio at his Michigan home. Just a guess on my part.
