My list of candidates to replace Danny Parkins on The Score starts and ends with Jason Goff

That’s it. That’s the list. Goff’s return would right a wrong that’s almost 6 1/2 years old yet still wafts over the station like a foul odor. Here’s hoping that he can make it work — and that he wants to.

IMHO Goff is much better than Holmes.

Jason Goff makes a lot of sense and had chemistry with Matt Spiegel middays before he was forced out in a programming shuffle at 670 AM The SCORE nearly 7 years ago under longtime Chicago radio executive Jim DeCastro's watch.

As I wrote the other day, Goff's TV work is currently in flux. It's unclear if he will follow the Bulls to the team's new TV partner Chicago Sports Network (CHSN), which will replace NBC Sports Chicago in October. It's believed that Adam Amin & Stacey King will continue to call the Bulls' games at CHSN this fall.

We await developments. It's far from a sure thing that Goff gets the job as Danny Parkins' full time replacement. Stay tuned.

Anthony Herron, one of 670 AM The SCORE's many football analysts in addition to his work on FOX 32's Bears' coverage & analyzing games on the Big Ten Network, is filling in this afternoon with Matt Spiegel on what's been temporarily renamed as "Score Afternoons".

The plan is to utilize different guest co-hosts until WSCR finds a permanent replacement for Danny Parkins. For all I know, Parkins' replacement might already be on The SCORE's payroll. Stay tuned.
