Audacy applies to move WSCR and WBBM

Today Audacy filed modification apps to move both WSCR and WBBM to the WYLL site.

Kind of ironic for WSCR, considering the main reason the format ended up on 670 was because of 1160's limited overall signal. Now it's going to the same tower site, that said without the directional and power signal limitations

That WBBM app will most likely be declined. Why? Before someone replies this is a minor oversight..... the Feds (FCC) do not accept minor oversight paperwork. Has to have all I's dotted and T's crossed. It is a legal thing.

As long as they have the FRN right it should be fine

Jeremy, I have had Ham radio licenses declined due to 1 incorrect number or letter. You make a mistake like that on a Federal grant form, declined. Home loan, declined. Business loan, declined. In my career, mistake like that is instant decline and people have lost their jobs on it.

If another signal or the public wants to fight it, there is one opening, at the least to delay it in the system.

After this thread or someone along the chain informs them, do not be surprised to see a revised app uploaded and submitted.

They don't pay that much attention. I saw an LPFM granted where the contents of the application were a copy paste from a station in California. They station in question had no relation.

Ironically they filed this nearly 24 years to the date The Score went from 1160 to 670, 8-1-00

A few weeks later, on a long evening and overnight drive from Connecticut to Chicago, I recall listening to 1160 WXRT through upstate NY and into Ohio. No streaming apps on phones back then. That WXRT (AM) and WXRT-FM period of time was short, but pretty cool.
