WTZI-FM 88.1 MHz Rosemont, Illinois "Hindi88" - Dead carrier, for months

Hindi88.fm which is transmitted off of a cell phone tower in Schiller Park IL on 88.1FM and licensed to Rosemont, has been throwing a dead carrier with RDS for the last 3 months or so. The stream off of the website will play but is silent and there is no audio.

Anyone know what the deal is? The feed went out of business? The engineer doesn't know this is occurring? Is there an engineer contracted for this station?

In the public file they stated
WTZI obtained the Internet capability via Verizon Wireless in January 2023 for the remote
control of the radio station and equipment, as well as the Internet radio streaming. WTZI is
currently upgrading its broadcasting functions, including the radio station equipment’s software
system.

Either way tossing out a dead carrier that long without a legal ID is an FCC issue. Since they pay no attention it will go on until they figure it out.

Thanks Jeremy. All it takes is one complaint to the FCC and one person takes it seriously, they will then find out. I do not see longevity for this signal, similar to 98.3 Wheeling (Chinese format). I know you are not from the area, it blankets signal over O'Hare, a bunch of industrial areas around it and villages that do not have a big population for this format.

Some organizations have well intentions, but don't research it enough to deploy it correctly. Or get in over their heads.
